With the new year in and your list of resolutions already written, you may have thought about cutting down. We bring you 5 tips to control it and get back to a healthier pace.
If you are overdoing it and want to control your intake, follow these tips
Lockdown was not exactly the best moment to smoke less: so much time at home meant a lot of us went heavy on the joints. If you feel it has got out of hand since then, here are a few ideas to rein it in without any drama.

Get used to parking it and smoking slowly
Rolling a joint, taking a couple of drags and parking it is one of the best ways to control what you smoke. Try 2 drags every 10 or 15 minutes: you will stay satisfied for longer and cut down noticeably. Our ashtrays help, because they have three notches to rest the joint on and are easy to clean.

Push back the first joint of the day as far as you can
The day is long. If you are the kind who makes their morning coffee with a joint already hanging from their mouth, you will have a harder time cutting down. Stretch out that first joint as much as you can (ideally leave it for after lunch) and you will have fewer hours left to smoke.

Give vaping a go
Combustion is one of the most harmful parts of smoking. If your throat feels heavy but you still want to enjoy the effect, THC vape liquids are a good option for doing it without combustion. Just do not overdo it, because the trip can be intense.

Give CBD a go
You do not have to be high around the clock, and CBD can be a good stand-in for anyone who wants to quit smoking or cut down. If you are seriously thinking about it, a good idea is to combine the two: CBD in the morning and weed in the afternoon.

Keep it for the weekends only
It can work if you are a disciplined person who keeps their excesses in check. That said, in many cases you end up smoking in one sitting on Saturday all the weed you would have smoked from Monday to Friday, so be honest with yourself about whether it is worth it.

We hope it has been useful. Tell us on stories what your tricks are for keeping your intake under control.
