CBD Hash: What It Is and What Types There Are

What CBD hash is, how it differs from flower and the types you can find.

CBDCBD Hash: What It Is and What Types There Are

If you already know your way around CBD flowers and want to try something more concentrated, CBD hash is the next step. We tell you what it is, how it differs from flower and what types there are so you know which one to order.

What CBD hash is

Hash is the pressed resin of the plant. In the flower, that resin sits in the trichomes, those crystal “hairs” covering the bud. CBD hash is made by separating that resin from the hemp and pressing it into a block, with THC below the legal limit. The result? A product more concentrated than the flower, with a more intense, earthy flavour.

How it differs from flower

The flower is the whole bud; hash is just the resin, pressed. That is why hash is more concentrated and the flavour hits harder. It is also prepared differently: instead of going on its own, it is usually crumbled and mixed. If flowers are still not clear to you, we cover them in our CBD Flower Buying Guide: How to Choose Yours.

The types of CBD hash we have

Morocco Hash: the classic Moroccan style, blond and pliable, with a mild, spiced flavour. The safe bet to start with.

Afghan Hash: Afghan style, darker, denser and more aromatic, with that earthy edge turned up.

Lemon Mousse: a creamier texture and a fresh citrus profile, for anyone after something different.

3x Filter: triple filtered, cleaner and more refined in flavour.

Charas CBN: hand-made charas that, on top of CBD, carries CBN, a different cannabinoid found naturally in hemp.

How it is smoked

The usual thing is to crumble it (by hand or with a bit of gentle heat) and mix it with your flower when you roll. It goes great with our rolling gear: papers, tips and tray. As always, we do not attribute any properties to it; we tell you what it is and how it is used, the rest is down to you.

Hash or flower?

If you want something concentrated with an intense flavour, hash. If you prefer the classic flower experience, go for flowers. And if smoking is not your thing, there are the oils. All of it together in the CBD section.
