Guías4 Basic Tips for Smoking at Home Without the Smell

Do you live with other people and freeze every time you go out for a joint? If you share a flat, live with your partner or are still at the family home and smoking inside is off limits, the smell is the problem. Here are 4 basic tips to keep it under control and smoke at home while being considerate to whoever lives with you.

Keeping the smell of weed under control at home

1. Make the most of the law of air currents

We are not making it up: physics says warm air tends to rise and cold air to sink, because molecules sit closer together (and weigh more) the colder they are. That is why, when you open a window in winter, cold air comes in low and warm air goes out high. So in winter it is better to smoke towards the top half of the window, and in summer the other way round. Leave a single point for air to come in and out and you are set.

2. Block the bottom of the door with towels

As we were saying, the key is leaving a single route for the air so the physics does its job. Use towels to cover the gap under the door and stop the smoke escaping into the rest of the house.

3. A bit of deodorant on the door frame

If the room is small, a strong deodorant on the outer door frame helps keep the smell from slipping into the hallway. A simple trick that finishes the plan off.

4. Finish it off with incense

If you have followed the steps above, your room should hardly smell of anything. But if the gear was strong and you can still pick something up, light some incense and wipe out that last trace.
